The summaries of the study sessions, recorded by Gordon Brown, are arranged into 5 sections:
All the recordings can be opened and played from this website (see below), or can be downloaded by right clicking (Windows), or by a two finger click (Mac), and then selecting “Save Link As”. Some recordings go together with charts. There are 7 charts in total which can be viewed/downloaded. One chart, the triptych, is too large for home printing and is therefore also available by order. 1. Science and Health
The first series concerning a study of the Christian Science textbook took place from 1969 to 1977. The study is based on the text as a whole, from the standpoint of the different categories of capitalized synonymous terms for God which permeate it. The purpose of sharing the study is to encourage students to develop and refresh their understanding of God by pondering deeply the use of these terms — both individually and in their relationship with one another, always within the flow of the one whole context. An American student has shared with us that by using this method of studying and pondering the textbook, it has become clearer and dearer than ever before.
The first recording introduces the method and spirit of the study and includes a glance at the Preface. Subsequent recordings aim to summarize the messages of the chapters one by one. Each chapter summary is made after a detailed study of the particular chapter with a group of students from London.
The listener is advised to hold a copy of the textbook open at the relevant page while listening to the recordings.

4. The Nothingness of Animal Magnetism
This study is supplementary to the preceding series on world civilization; its title relates to the elimination of animal magnetism from the consciousness of mankind as shown by the descent the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost in the second chapter of Acts. 5. The Open Door
Mrs. Eddy says of the books of Genesis and The Apocalypse that they contain the deep divinity of the Bible. The purpose of this recording, made by Gordon Brown with the group of students who participated in previous recordings, is to lead thought through the first fourteen chapters of the textbook to the teachings of the fifteenth and sixteenth chapters, Genesis and the Apocalypse, showing that the text’s own deep divinity enlightens consciousness.
